The Show
After opening for KT Tunstall during her 2007 performance at the Prince George Ballroom in Manhattan, A Fine Frenzy returned to the Artists Den stage as a headliner in August 2009, two weeks before the release of her second album, Bomb in a Birdcage. The intimate show took place in the John Drew Theater at Guild Hall in East Hampton, NY.

A Fine Frenzy
Taken from Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream, A Fine Frenzy is the name of 24-year-old singer-songwriter Alison Sudol’s band. Born in Seattle to dramatic-arts teacher parents, Sudol moved to Los Angeles at the age of five, where she later taught herself to play piano. Her group’s debut record, One Cell in the Sea, cracked the Billboard Top 100, earned the #1 spot on the Billboard Heatseekers Chart, and garnered her recognition as a VH1 “You Oughta Know” artist. A Fine Frenzy’s sophomore album, Bomb in a Birdcage, was released in September 2009. Though she no longer performs under the moniker A Fine Frenzy, Sudol continues to make music and pursue her career as an actress.
The Venue
As the center of cultural activities on the East End of the Hamptons, Guild Hall was established in 1931 as one of the first multidisciplinary centers in the country to combine a museum, theater, and education space under one roof. It is a gathering place for the community to find a common space for artistic growth and appreciation. For nearly ninety years, Guild Hall has embraced this open-minded vision and provided a welcoming area to learn, perform and enjoy the arts in the building’s minimalist environment.
