Marketing Intern - 2020/2021

OVERVIEW

The Artists Den produces extraordinary concerts in exceptional settings for the acclaimed TV series, Live from the Artists Den as well as our digital series Live from My Den. The series creates one of a kind premium shows with the biggest names in music – from Adele to John Legend–which are broadcast worldwide on premium TV and digital culture networks including PBS, Spotify, and Variety.

We are looking for an experienced individual with a passion for music and creative marketing who can learn from and support our marketing team in effectively executing marketing strategies, fan marketing, artist campaigns, TV campaigns, and digital content partnerships.

OPPORTUNITY 

Intern for a leading entertainment company based in the Flatiron district of NYC and gain invaluable experience working in the trenches with our Heads of Production, Creative Services, Marketing and Partnerships Directors. Join our weekly planning and production meetings, and develop skills in entertainment and music marketing, research, and television production.

AREAS OF FOCUS

Primary Responsibilities – Assisting Our Marketing Lead

– Help facilitate overall marketing strategy for the brand including multi-platform digital and content marketing strategies and campaigns
– Help optimize marketing budgets across digital platforms to grow audience
– Work with PR and Social Media to create high quality publicity aligned with marketing goals
– Determine marketing business metrics, conduct campaign analysis and share results

B2B Marketing – Partnerships

– Brainstorming + idea generation for partnerships with culturally appropriate brands
– Research potential + engaged partners
– Find working contact info for prospective partner leads

Primary Responsibilities – Assisting Our Marketing Lead

– Tasked with generating new ideas that engage and grow our TV, digital, and social audiences
– Ideation for social, email, and website content – suggesting ideas for posting, drafting text
– Updating social calendar with relevant topics to AD alum and music industry tie-ins
– Track growth statistics for our weekly marketing campaigns (social platforms + mailing list)
– Generate creative ideas for our artists, social media contests and content
– Create recap reports and case studies on previous campaigns

QUALIFICATIONS

Candidates should have a passion for music and/or television production, a strong work ethic, research skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks. Preference to candidates local to the New York City area available 15-25 hours a week, with the opportunity to expand. 

– Current or recent student at a top college
– Strong passion for music, arts and television
– Marketing/social media experience
– Strong research + analytical skills
– Ability to work with a team in a collaborative environment
– Pro-active + creative thinker
– Optimistic + positive energy
– Adaptable and able to switch gears in a fast paced environment
– Proficiency with Mac computers
– Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
– Familiar with Adobe Photoshop
– Excellent writing and interpersonal skills

 Areas of Focus / Roles & Responsibilities

Production + Programming

– Support planning and development of Season 15 of LFAD and Season 2 of LFMD
– Assist with Programming: pull data for artist one-sheets, update touring schedules, album releases, upcoming projects for potential artists
– Assist with post-production tasks such as transcribing and reviewing footage

Digital Marketing

– Tasked with generating new ideas that engage and grow our TV, digital, and social audiences
– Ideation for social, email, and website content – suggesting ideas for posting, drafting text
– Updating social calendar with relevant topics to AD alum and music industry tie-ins
– Track growth statistics for our weekly marketing campaigns (social platforms + mailing list)
– Generate creative ideas for our artists, social media contests and content
– Create recap reports and case studies on previous campaigns

General

– Support long-term projects that help shape the development of the brand
– Various daily administrative office tasks – keep Artists Den organized

Associate Manager, Sponsorships

The Artists Den seeks an Associate Manager, Brand Partnerships & Sponsorships for a full-time position.

The Artists Den produces once in a lifetime concerts that broadcast on cinema, television and digital networks.   

We are looking for an experienced individual with a passion for music and brand partnerships and sponsorships who can effectively research,  develop and sell in new business to support our dynamic series of events and broadcast. 

We are expanding our global brand – continuing to look for new partners – as we have an ever growing fan base in Europe, Asia and Latin America, which compliments the brand’s continued growth in North America.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

– Researching and organizing incoming lead generation and conducting/nurturing initial sales outreach
– Conducting/leveraging data analysis to identify new sales opportunities 
– Developing and deploying marketing & sales materials to leads, helping to create GTM decks and pitch materials for sponsorship conversations/negotiations
– Spearheading the lead base system internally, developing, managing and maintaining the pipeline view
– Leveraging Artists Den’s analytics and data points to ensure a high rate of ongoing renewal strategies/conversations for partner accounts.

REQUIREMENTS

– 3-4 years of marketing/sales support experience with a track record of success and innovation
– Communicates effectively, understanding the nuances of his/her audience
– Ability to analyze prospects, develop sales leads and focus sales efforts by studying industry trends
– Salesforce or similar experience highly desirable
– Strong communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills to interface with senior executives
– Plan and organize daily work schedule to call on predetermined leads
– Keep management informed by submitting activity and results reports, sharing statistical data, weekly work plans and monthly analyses
– Strong MS Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
– Characteristics: entrepreneurial spirit, self-motivated & resourceful, quick-thinking multitasker
– BA/BS required
