Front End Web Developer:

Who you are:
A talented front end junior developer with a knack for digital design and a working knowledge of Wordpress backend processes. Available on a part-time basis, three days per week, to start.

The Artists Den is a critically acclaimed television and digital music series currently in its 10th season. We've built our reputation by presenting the best in rising musical talent in non-traditional, often historic settings. Previous artists include Adele, Mumford & Sons, and Ed Sheeran.

Who we want to be:
Our mission for the future is to develop a global digital broadcast home for discovering the best in new live music. Our brand is established and respected, particularly in the United States, but our aim is to expand and become one of the best-known platforms for music discovery in the world.

Where you fit in:
Our site is good. We want you to help us make it great. Your initial role would be to learn the ins and outs of our current set up, and to find the right ways to polish it from the inside out.

The 24 month plan is where things will get really interesting. As our business grows, so will our site. Down the line, our site will reshape and even rebuild based on your ideas and recommendations. Our hope for you is that becomes your chance to show the world your voice.

• At least one year of professional experience as a front end developer
• Proficient in HTML, CSS, Javascript / JQuery
• Understanding of modern web standards and browser compatibility issues
• Understanding of responsive web development and mobile web design
• Working knowledge of Wordpress, PHP/CGI, SQL
Bonus: • Understanding of web performance and scaling best practices
• Experience with Adobe Photoshop

Partnerships Associate:

The Artists Den is seeking a full-time Partnerships Associate to join our team immediately. You will work with a tight-knit group to support the development and execution of strategic marketing partnerships that drive both revenue and marketing for the Artists Den. You will contribute to a well known franchise which delivers best in class entertainment marketing, content, and event programs for premium partners.

Who We Are
Live from the Artists Den is a critically acclaimed television and digital music series now in its 10th season, best known for presenting secret concerts by extraordinary artists in non-traditional, often historic settings. Live from the Artists Den is one of PBS' most popular series, broadcasting nationally in US markets and internationally.
Artists who have performed for the Artists Den include Adele, Mumford & Sons, Ed Sheeran, Zac Brown Band, Robert Plant,Tim McGraw, Norah Jones, Alt J, Hozier, Sara Bareilles, Vampire Weekend, and more.

Who You Are
-An entrepreneurial spirit, excited to help drive new business from concept through execution
-Passionate about music, pop culture, the Artists Den & our target demographic
-Strong ability to communicate effectively and tactfully with persons on all levels - in person, on the phone and in writing
-Excellent organizational and time management skills: the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously that are deadline sensitive Extremely detail-oriented with a critical eye for consistency + the sensibility to flag/raise any potential issues
-1- 2 years experience in a similar Account Management or Brand Marketing position
-Fluent in Excel and PowerPoint, Photoshop a big plus

What You'll Do
-Help build and maintain strategic relationships with current and future partners
-Collaborate with colleagues across Marketing, Programming, Broadcast, Production and Artist Management to support priority projects, artists, and brands
-Help manage integrated brand programs/campaigns to increase commercial awareness of Artists Den & partners
-Ensure the brand is successfully represented at our events with on-site marketing and audience engagement.
-Learn & oversee brand guidelines to make sure they are in place at all times
-Help brainstorm ideal partnerships for the future with research + idea generation

  • How do you choose your artists?

    Our programming team is always looking at talented artists as potential performers to add to our stage. Our primary concern is finding artists who are great live performers with enough original material to fill an hour-long television episode. Our shows come together through a mix of hard work, coordinating schedules, and a little bit of luck, and conversations with artists and venues are constantly in the works.

  • How do I get my favorite artist on the show? How can I get my band on the show?

  • How do you choose a venue for a particular artist/episode?

    Live from the Artists Den is all about creating and documenting once-in-a-lifetime pairings between artists and very special places. Planning a new episode taping always begins with a conversation with the artist about their dream “artists den”. Is there a spot or a city that they have a connection to? What kind of vibe or feel are they going for? Are there any special interests or causes that we can highlight in the program?

    Once the artist has decided on a city, the process of finding a venue that fits their vision begins. We do our best to make their dreams come true and marry a venue that is the best fit, artistically, aesthetically, and logistically.
