MUNA
MUNA is an alternative pop band consisting of Katie Gavin, Josette Maskin, and Naomi McPherson. The trio first met in college at the University of Southern California, and they released their first record in 2017. The group became acclaimed for their empathetic and heartfelt songwriting that addresses the queer experience, sexuality, and gender. In 2022, MUNA released their landmark third album, a self-titled record, that fully embraced their synth-pop approach. Bolstered by their hit with Phoebe Bridgers, “Silk Chiffon,” the album was their most successful yet, earning rave reviews and multiple in-demand, headlining tours.
