Indie electronica artist Polly Mackey, known as Art School Girlfriend, recorded her Live from My Den performance at her studio space in East London. After performing tracks from her new album Soft Landing, she welcomes the audience into her creative space, sharing how both the studio and the city have impacted her musical process.

Art School Girlfriend is the musical project of singer-songwriter Polly Mackey. Born in Wrexham, North Wales, she spent five years in London performing in local bands before settling in Margate, Kent. There, she began writing and producing atmospheric electronic music under the Art School Girlfriend moniker. Her debut album, Is It Light Where You Are, was released in 2021, and her sophomore project Soft Landing arrived in August 2023. Lauded for her production chops, Art School Girlfriend also scores independent films and runs a monthly radio show for the Peckham-based female-led radio station Foundation FM.
