To celebrate the release of her debut album Samson, Chika returned to Noise Nest Studios, the recording studio where she wrote and created the project. Later on, she performs stripped-back versions of songs from the album, bringing the vulnerability of her music to the forefront. In an interview with Variety, she opens up about her early experiences in the music industry and how her doubts, fears, and dreams coalesced into a debut album she’s proud of.

Grammy-nominated and XXL Freshman Class alumnus, Chika has been a rising star in rap music since her breakthrough EP Industry Games in 2020. The Alabama native uses her music as a platform to explore mental health and her experience in the music industry. After a two year hiatus, Chika returned in 2023 with her debut album Samson: The Album, featuring Freddie Gibbs, Snoop Dogg, and Stevie Wonder. Her most developed artistic statement yet, the album combines her poetic rapping style with gospel, R&B, and soul.
