To celebrate the release of her debut album Samson, Chika returned to Noise Nest Studios, the recording studio where she wrote and created the project. Later on, she performs stripped-back versions of songs from the album, bringing the vulnerability of her music to the forefront. Grammy-nominated and XXL Freshman Class alumnus, Chika has been a rising star in rap music since her breakthrough EP Industry Games in 2020. The Alabama native uses her music as a platform to explore mental health and her experience in the music industry. After a two year hiatus, Chika returned in 2023 with her debut album Samson: The Album, featuring Freddie Gibbs, Snoop Dogg, and Stevie Wonder. Her most developed artistic statement yet, the album combines her poetic rapping style with gospel, R&B, and soul.
