I'D MISS THE BIRDS

Joy Oladokun

Joy Oladokun does things their own way. Since relocating to Nashville from their native Arizona, Oladokun has released honest, insightful folk songs that celebrate their identity as a black, gender-nonconforming artist. Their music has struck a chord both in Nashville and outside it. For their 2024 album Observations From A Crowded Room, Oladokun collaborated with country music staples like Chris Stapleton alongside artists outside the genre, like rapper Maxo Kream and rock group Manchester Orchestra.
