Ryan Beatty
Like many artists of the 2010s singer-songwriter Ryan Beatty gained recognition for covers he posted to his YouTube channel. However, his path since then has been anything but typical. The California native is a frequent collaborator with alt-rap mainstays Brockhampton, Kevin Abstract, and Tyler, the Creator. His solo discography defies all pop expectations with its honest depictions of queer adolescence. In 2023, Beatty returned after a multi-year hiatus to release Calico, a stunning acoustic album that’s quickly become his most acclaimed to date.
