The Show

In the midst of a tour in  support of their sophomore album Where’s My Utopia?, Yard Act stopped by TV Eye for their Live from My Den. TV Eye is an independent venue in Ridgewood, Queens, and a center for New York’s indie and D.I.Y. scenes. The space brought out Yard Act’s raucous, fiery energy as they played cuts from Where’s My Utopia? like the sarcastic “We Make Hits” and “Petroleum.” As they made TV Eye their Den for the day, Yard Act discussed translating these chaotic songs to a live setting.

“Live from My Den” is a digital series available on Variety.com showcasing some of today’s most extraordinary artists performing live from the creative spaces of their homes, studios, and cities most meaningful to them. Read the article and watch Yard Act’s full episode here.

Yard Act

Leeds-based four-piece Yard Act sprung from the UK’s renowned post-punk scene. Combining snappy punk instrumentation with class conscious lyrics, the band immediately made waves with their 2022 debut, The Overload. The album earned them a spot on the prestigious BBC Ones To Watch list, a nomination for the Mercury Prize, and earned fans including Sir Elton John. Yard Act released the disco-influenced follow-up Where’s My Utopia? in 2024.
